This is my first blog, so I’m not really sure what I should blog about. I suppose I can just blog about hunting. Hunting is one of my favorite past times whenever it is in season. There is an art to hunting that most people don’t know about. That art is a combination of a few things put together. One of the most important things about hunting is scouting out your hunting area. When scouting you check for deer trails. These trails inform you that deer are in the area and that they use these trails to travel. They travel for a number of things. They travel to switch bedding areas, to go to a source of water, and to go to a feeding area. One other thing to do when u hunt is to make sure your stand is in an active deer area. A popular spot for stands is by a water source, deer trail, feeding area or even a bedding area. Also, it is important to make sure your hunting weapon is in good condition and that you can use the weapon properly and effectively. Another important thing is to make sure that you have the proper equipment for hunting. Some equipment that are used are camoflague coveralls, camoflague hat, proper insulated boots and insulated socks. Now it is a good idea to know how to field dress a deer. In order to field dress a deer you need a hunting knife. You make a cut inbetween the back legs all the way up to the mid chest. Then you cut the lining holding in the cuts and other intreals. After you do that you pull the intreals out of the deer (make sure you have some kind of gloves on). Lastly you would take the deer to a processing plant to get your meat processed and there are a few different kinds of meat that you can get. There is my favorite, the tenderloins which are the most tender part of the deer. There is hamburger, sausage, deer jerkey, and ribs.
